Has anybody done this mod? Has anyone had drivability problems besides the MIL being on? I just want some input on this mod before i do it to my max.

You did with a auto? Driving over a hundred is dangerous but this could come in handy for some situations. Thats why I would make a button or toggle switch.

Going 100+ with stock ride height and soft footwork isn't fun. But it is an auto and yes I've hit the limiter plenty of times(117+/-). Also I don't mind the MIL being on, its a 95 safety only inspection needed.
Yes it is dangerous! But on the weekends I need to go that fast. After about 110 cars start passing. Good idea on making it switch or button.
Speed Limiter Removal
The ECU monitors the transmission mounted speed sensor to determine vehicle speed. When the vehicle speed limit is reached, the ECU cuts the fuel flow to the engine to slow the car.
The signal path for the vehicle speed sensor is as follows:
Sensor to Speedometer
Speedometer to ECU & Cruise Control
If the signal is interrupted at the actual connection to the ECU, speedometer, odometer and cruise control functions are preserved. The ECU does not receive a vehicle speed signal, therefore it will not limit the vehicle speed.
This modification is easy. But beware, it does include mutilation of the factory ECU wiring harness...not for the squeamish.
1.Disconnect negative battery terminal.
2.remove ECU cover from passenger side footwall.
3.Loosen bolt in center of main ECU connector.
4.Unplug main ECU connector.
5.Remove snap-on plastic cover from ECU connector.
6.Locate PINK wire with BLUE stripe. (this wire is located on the right half of the connector when plugged in)
7.Cut PINK/BLUE wire.
8.Reassemble ECU connection.
9.Reconnect negative battery terminal.
10.Drive 140mph.
There has to be like 12 pink and blue wires in that pic. How do I distinguish anybody got pic I don't want go through cutting wire yo!

Unless youre running a dragstripgrow up...what happens if you f#$k upand crash and killsomeone and their newborn baby or young child?? Most likely cause youre the idiot behind the wheel youd live.... and if i was the father in that situation...personally...idmake sure toud pay...and not in the lawbook way... some idiot ever pulled this and harmed someone in my family like wife or kid and id be in jail for a bad bad crime....keep it on the track or grow upbefore you kill someone smarter than you...people eonder why the generation between 18-29 got a bad repand everyone thinks the country is gonna crash...cause of geniuses like you...
Tell me what situation will going over 140 mph be applied too. Seriously unless your F/I or spraying. With high 10s with 140 mph passes at the track u dont need it period. It a very simple mod i did it in my 96 days years ago. 140mph in a n/a maxima is like waiting in line at the dmv take to long. Its dangerous trying to hang with autobahn cars s4 m3 and gtr

Just trying to get info on a mod that will help you break the law and wreck into innocent people and kill them because you felt the need for speed. Quit being a douchebag and drive the speed limit you dumb ass.
So you admit to illegal street racing? Seriously kid, keep it on the track or someones gonna get hurt, Also remember street racing talk is against the rules on this forum. If you really wanna do this, search. Sounds like one of the easiest mods out there anyway... Just remember to obey the law, this aint nfs
He lives in Fayetteville, NC. If you have seen Talladega Nights you would understand. People from NC just drive like they are in Nascar all the time. They are all jacked up on mountain dew and are afraid of invisible fire. I know, I'm from NC too. I wanna go fast!
Seriously though, just go to a track save me from putting a North Cakalacky spider monkey beatdown on you.

this is like buying a civic and ricing it out to turn the economy car into something it's not, like that's never happened before. seriously, there's no need to go that fast. SERIOUSLY. people that do that crap is the reason that 19 year olds like me can't afford insurance on a nice sports car.
