Maxima "SR" on ebay...

Anyone see this yet? I just came across it while browsing on ebay, LOL, didn't know the 7th gen came in SR trim, I would have gotten it! Haha, check the link and scroll down to see the pics of the obviously incorrect SR badge slapped on the trunk. Looks like an actual nissan dealer selling it too.

It would be a good deal on a 2011, if it were in fact a 2011 BUT that is defnitely a 2010. Grill is not the 2011 sport grill and the stitching is red, stitching in the 2011 sport is grey.....what a great PREFERED EBAY dealer........

what a rip off...that's looks a lot like a 2010 base S model that had the interior upgraded to leather - notice that the side mirrors have no turn signals. Looks like they just slapped on the 19" sport rims as well.

yea its like dude took a base model S and built his own special edition Maxima and tried to mark it up by putting leather seats and an SR badge (that doesn't even look like it's in the right place). cant blame him for trying, my dealer near me wanted to take a base model S and put the Stillen lip + Eibach's on it and park it out front after seein my whip...they're sales people they'll do anything to sell it.

my favorite part is how he says it has an automatic transmission. lol...

Looking closer, it's a base SV, without Premium or Tech packages. That'll give the leather and BOSE stereo. Other than that, it's got the spoiler and a couple of other options, as well as the aforementioned 19" sport wheels (probably take-offs).

It looks like the seats were added because there is no red strtching on the gear shift or steering wheel.

this stuff cracks me up. i see dealers do it all the time. they put aftermarket wheels on cars and charge you $10k when they probably paid $4k. i think it should be illegal to sell brand new cars with dealer mods on them cuz all they're doing is trying to rip someone off.

i dont mind that they try to hook up the car to make it sell, but jacking up the price and completely making up a SR badge is kinda stupid. the SR is a series of Nissan motors not a sport edition, he should AT THE VERY LEAST have made it SE-R so it'd be something Nissan actually uses lol. hell even Maxima GT-R would be less wack

for the price, i dont see why anyone would buy it when they can get a fully loaded Max...

I honestly think that it should be illegal since they are branding it as a SR.

Altima has an SR now instead of SE for the sport model, but still they are WRONG!

I don't think the dealer is being stupid at all. Now not that I am defending the dealership but what this dealer did is nothing different than what dodge did back in early 2000's I had a dodge dealership by me come up with Dodge Ram SE Special Eddition... they never had an SE but they painted the body a different color and put options in the truck that could only be found on the SRT-10 truck. Now the dealership is being honest if you read the ad and watch the video...
Unique SR Badge
Only at Deland Nissan you get this Maxima SR

The ad claims "unique" SR badge... and "Only at Deland Nissan"

In the video he tells you you can only get the SR Maxima at Deland and that they have "put together a special package"

... in the end buy the car that makes you happy. I guess if I wanted a car with leather, spoiler, and the sport rims without the other features in the sport or SV packages, I'd be happy if it was preinstalled and I could finance it. I don't agree with the badging, but hey what ever sells cars is what they will do...

Now I cant wait for someone to buy this car, join the forum, and try to tell us all that Nissan made an SR and he can prove it cause it came badged that way....

They also put Murano 20s on the Maxima

Does not look that bad at all, might have to see it in person.

I would have done a second take on the video.... lmfao first off he repeats himself twice explaining the interior... and even better he freakin calls it a damn altima at 3:22 towards the end of the video.... palm face x2

Actually, I gotta give these guys credit. A lot of people what to buy something unique, and if a dealer can (legitimately) say, "hey, you wont find this car anywhere else," someone might just sign on the dotted line.

I've got to say that the Maxima needs some additional badging. I think this dealer has hit on something and I might follow suit. We can come up with our own signature badge based on mods to the car or how we feel about it. I think I want to do something like S H for Super Hot!
