Saturday was a good day! Weather was right and some big numbers were posted! New record was set for GTR on stock turbos (608 whp) as well as running the **** out of a LFA! Here's a few pics from my Facebook album...

Pretty sweet, I should have gone, the black GT500 is my buddy, I knew he was gonna get dynoed but he never said when or where

 

Yeah, he said he wanted to get 450 out of it. We didn't think it would, but we all thought is was stock. He said it had a full exhaust and a cold-air on it, but no pulley swap or anything. He had to leave early, but left it with his buddy. I couldn't believe he pulled 493!!! That's no stock blower car! He got some xtra goodies with that unit

Supposed to be tuning mid-January. I was going to put the intake spacers on, but not sure now. I was also going to close up my exhaust some, but also not sure now

 

does UpRev have any thoughts on removing WOT lag, can it be done? I can understand nissans hesitation at 0-20 or 25, but once that mass is rolling and inertia is on your side, at 25mph+ it would nice to let that engine do its thing. It is especially disappointing at 80+ when it slows down real quick whereas in other 3.5VQ applications that engine pulls strong for much longer.

The other thing is top speed. According to car and driver the CVT a highest gear ratio of 0.44, giving the car has a mechanical, rev limited, theoretical top speed of 220mph. Obviously this would be impossible to achieve, but it would be nice to allow the car to find its drag limited top speed instead of governor limited, i am guessing somewhere in the 150-160MPH area, and allow for that engine to take it there as the engine allows and not some nanny software trying to keep everything in check.

 

I am curious to what Uprev will do with the 7th gen maxima. Keep us posted.

Hey sneekyfast, it's Mike from the dyno day with the GT500. I was laughing when you guys kept saying the mustang would only make 450 to the wheels if I was lucky, they make usually about 440 stock. All it really did have at the time was exhaust intake, and a ****ty chip. I just put the pulleys on 2 weeks ago and it's now making 542 rwhp with 539 pounds of torque. I'm glad u uploaded some pics, add me on facebook so we can keep in touch. Don't doubt the American Muscle!

 

Yeah, your car was sick! We hated that you had to leave. I'm glad you had your buddy stick around with the car! We left after they ran your car. I've never doubted the American muscle and will probably have another Mustang myself one day soon. I'm still a fox-body fan though

Actually, I have found the means to keep the car. I didn't go into detail on here as the cause, but things have turned around
