It was probably replaced. Flex sections do fail ya know..

Either that or it was painted with rust proof spray. Who knows.

+1
But it could also be a Warpspeed or Budget etc. with s**t flex and then painted too, just saying. Hope it is a true Cattman for your sake though.
No way of confirming or denying a true Cattman Y w/o pics of your pipe. Be glad to help you out as I've spent plenty of time with mine just installed my new Cattman Y a few weeks ago. Have some pics on my camera but need yours in order to compare and provide definitive answer for you. Hope you got what you paid (or thought you paid) for though.

What I'm wondering is.. Why wouldn't you ask for pics before buying the y-pipe to confirm whether it's a Cattman piece or not?

Its arguable whether Cattman is better or not. Quality, yes. Performance assuming same pipe sizing, that's debatable. Main thing is Cattman is much more expensive. Which is most likely why Chris asked why you didn't check before you bought it.

^ My thoughts exactly but for $100, who cares whether it's Cattman or not. That's a great price for any aftermarket y-pipe.

lol i'm the seller and i'm just as curious. for the record (since some of you seem to have been confused by nismo95max's post), i didn't sell the y-pipe as a cattman. i sold the y-pipe as a y-pipe that i was told may be a cattman. it was established that it could have been any brand.

^he is correct.. I should have cleared that up as well. the seller (wesctr) was told it was one. but ^he and I both knew it probably wasn't. I'll get pics up tomorrow so they can be compared. just curious!

it seems like it's a warpspeed pipe. the two down pipes pinch in a little before the join, which from pictures i've seen, is a warpspeed characteristic.

If it turns out not to be a cattman are you not going to install it?

Don't forget to spray it again after the wrap.
