Seriously its been at least a few times i got the comment "is that an altima" ? Imo they look nothing alike yet everyone seems to think so.

Maybe i shouldve got a altima, in which case i shouldve got a camry

I know how you feel bro. The best comment I had since I completely debadged my Max is "Nice 5 series" at a gas station. The worst was "sexy Accord" on the parkway. I'm thinking of grabbing the old "MAXIMA" badges and placing them centered on my trunk. Nobody did this style yet. Boy we Maxima owners are going to be mistaken for Altima owners when the 2013 Altima comes out.

really? This is my 5th car and I've received so many great comments! People are always commenting on the style and the color (Ocean Gray).
At least a dozen people have gone out of their way to stop me after seeing me leave my car to ask me about the car or tell me how gorgeous it is.
I've never had anyone mistake it for anything lesser. I did have someone ask how I love my new "S-Class" lol. They were shocked when I said it was a Maxima. (old guy!)

Ive gotten "Is that an Infiniti?" or "...looks like a BMW"

People are surprised about the heated steering wheel.

Shoulda said, "Nah, it's the new 2013 Versa. They added a little more trunk space."

My '09 still looks good (white premium with black double roof, and I keep it clean). I walked out the door of Bank America back in December and found a woman just standing in front of my car staring at it.

As I approached the driver's door, she said 'that is a beautiful car. What is it?' I tried to not show too much pride. I responded with 'It's just a Nissan. A Nissan MAXIMA' (heavy emphasis on MAXIMA). She was still looking at it as I drove off, trying not to smile until my face was out of her view.

It is going to really be tough letting this car go when the 8th gen arrives.

I get a lot of comments for my car as well. Everyone pretty much knows its a Maxima. But one time someone thought it was an Altima I believe.

I usually always hear, "nice BMW or nice Lexus"!!

I've had people that I've driven past nearly break their necks trying to see what I'm driving.

I always get nice compliments on my car.

Most people I run into seem to know its a maxima. I get compliments all the time. The best one was a so called "car salesman" that asked why I didn't get the v8 in it. after informing him that they don't make a v8 he kept insisting they did because it had dual exhaust!

Well I've been insulted today. I was at a red light near the Nissan dealer a few yards away and this guy in a Volkswagon CC pointed me to roll down my windows. He then had the nerve to say, "is that the 2013 Altima? That's nice man... where are the badges" I looked at him and said, yeah it is and it's a prototype. I hate people who don't know their cars. I even know what brand a car is even in the dark just by looking at the headlights.

Speaking of Altimas, Nissan Returns to V8 Supercar

Nissan today confirmed its re-entry into the Australian V8 Supercar series for the 2013 season. It’s the first manufacturer to announce a new entry under the 2013 Car of the Future rules intended to open the series to a wider variety of makes. Nissan did not specify which model it will field, confirming only that it plans to use an “all-new” sedan model. Many expect Nissan to drop a V-8 into something that resembles its new Altima sedan, which will debut here, in Australia, and elsewhere for 2013. Ford and Holden currently are the only makes competing in V8 Supercars.

No Maxima love at all, wtf ?

Haha that's crazy, I thought I was the only one that could name cars by their headlights in the dark lol. I can name them as they come down the road. Sometimes I can even tell by how blue the HIDS are like on (BMW, Lexus, Audi, etc). I got my 7th gen two months ago and so far I've had one person call it a Altima, I quickly corrected him. They look nothing alike imo. Everyone else have saying it's a really nice, classy car. People always talk about how the like the curves on it. I really like it and cant stay out of it.
Btw, where did you find your SV/Sport Grill?? I've been looking around for one

The NYC area has always been a haven for Maxima's, you do see a ton of them up there. Very popular up there.

LOL i plasti-dipped my grill. Eventually I'll change it to the c-mod grill. I like the look more just like Shadow's Maxima.
