Spacers?
Sorry to get you heated dude, just looking for a little help thats all. I personally dont have 5g's to spend on rims and tires, so I am doing what I can. I spent a little of 2g's for my rims/tires. I know someone who can get me the spacers cheap, so I will not be spending 200 on them. What would be considered a strong offset?
OP - on my stock 19's (50 offset 8" wide) I had 20mm spacers in the front, 25mm in the rear and it was nice and flush lookin and didnt rub. with your 38 offset and 8.5" wide rim you're prolly looking at something small (if anything) in the front and maybe a 5 or 10mm in the rear? you can do the math to figure it out i am just lazy lol
Not sure if the A35 chassis is like the A32 and A33. But if it is, the only way to have both front and rear wheels flush with each other or respect to the fender for that look that, IMO, looks good, one needs to either go with staggered wheels, or get spacers for the rear.
Reason being, same offsets will look goofy (IMO) in the rear.
I'm also one of those people that don't really appreciate an FWD with staggered rear wheels.
With that said, I've seen some really good looking A33's with 19x8.5 +17 fronts and 19x10 +22 rear with very slight fender modification done. As stated prior, I'm not familiar enough with the A35 chassis, but it is a larger vehicle, so perhaps those may even look slightly sunk in and, IMO goofy.
And with all of that said, I have 8.5" wide wheels and +33, and I use a 10mm spacers in the rear and a 5mm in front, keep in mind, this is an A33, quite a bit smaller than an A35.
I was modding a long time ago, and this new look just came about recently, or at least to me it did (I bought my wheels in 04 or 05 IIRC). Had I known what I know now, I would have gone with a wheel that had lower offsets and coiolvers, because a low offset wheel/tire is, IMO goofy with a proper drop.
So, with all of this said,
get wider wheels and lower offset, and if you go with spacers, get good ones, like H&R with the studs already integrated, (vs a spacer and a set of longer studs) there's a name for them, but I can’t recall right now. Are they more expensive, yes, is it time to cheap out for spacers, no.
