Got my 22" wheels in today...

Had them put on and they RUB!

When they are turned hard left or right, they hit the inside front wheel wells.

I got 245/30 tires (+35 offset). The few people on here with 22's said that size would fit fine without any modifications.

To the people w/ 22's... What could be the problem?

The wheels look amazing & i really would like for them to fit. I dont want to have to trade them in for 20's but i cant have any rub.

im not sure my offset is 40 and im even lowered no rub the rears tuck in under the rear quarters i can do full u turns.im thinking 35 offset goes in just alittle extra and you mite need a 5m spacer.

the factory wheels are 50 so i don't think 30 would work mine are 40 and barely clear the inner plastic wheel wells.

OK I just re-read your post and missed the part about "hitting the inside wheel well".

your offsets are too high, your probably 22x9 +50 or something, or something around that range.

you have to throw on some spacers to bring them out, or change the wheel, or try 225 30 22, which is super duper thin.

Buzzooka Joe, did you use your stock wheel's TPMS or are your riding with the light. I'm getting my wheels soon and I need input if I should swap it, buy another set or ride with the light all summer until winter. I never had a car with TPMS before.

You definitely don's want spacers!!! 35mm is farther away from the hub than 40's. If you run spacers they will be past the fenders. How wide are the wheels? When you say "inside of the wheel wells" are you talking about your inner fender (plastic) or the inside walls of the metal fender?

The wheels are 8.5 wide

By inside of the wheel well i mean the fiberglass piece from the side skirt that is inside the wheel well.. There is enough room all the way around, it just hits that fiberglass piece when turned all the way.

Im on my way to a custom shop now to see what they can do.. If it involves any REAL modifications i'll probably just trade these wheels in for a set of 20's ...

Are you talking about the mud-guards? If it is the outside of the tire touching, you need more off-set (40mm or so). My wheels are 35mm as well, but they're only 8" wide. I actually have more sidewall than you do, but should be roughly the same. I test-fitted some 9" wide/35mm offset wheels and they were going to be too close for comfort.

Problem solved. All it was was one of the mud guards was loose & sticking out & that's all it was hitting.

No rub at all. Drives just as smooth. Only difference is it feels a lil heavier (obviously), but im not a racer, i got a maxima for it's luxuary

Think it would look good with white painted calipers? Or another color?

I agree w/ the height.. Down here we ride big :-D so Im not going to lower it.

But what if I did a dark red/burgundy colored calipers? It would kind of match my smoked tail lights.

I'm not a fan of chrome at all but your car looks sweet with those on but you will need to lower that puppy just to add more emphasis on the wheels.
