Maintenance Plus Service Plan

I just bought a 2k2 and was wondering if anyone else who just bought a new one thought about the Maintenance Plus Gold Preferred serive plan. I still have a chance to buy it, but was wondering what everyone thought? My dealer wants $1800 for a 5/75k plan. It includes all inspections and oil/air/fuel filter changes, tire rotations, atf/coolant flushes, radiator cap, drive belt replacement, in-cabin filter.

For some reason I didn't get a maintenance schedule with the vehicle- did anyone else? If I could see it, and add up the cost of all scheduled maintenance for the maxima, I could get a better idea. I do feel a little safer letting the dealer do the work, but I have a feeling $1800 for this is way too much.

Don't buy if for anything more that $800.00. trust me, they can even deal on that! When I bought my 2k the finance jerk cut the price in half. I bought a 2k1 and did not purchase it. I think that if you don't do every "scheduled service" they may not honor that extd warranty plan though. just a thought.

whoa...

that is seriously high!

I got the Nissan Gold without any scheduled mx, it was $1000 less than that. I wasnt aware they had a warr. with mx now. must be new. Up to 60K everything it just 'inspect' anyway.

Air filter at 15K is $20 at most. InCabin Filter is < $40, once per year. alot of dealerships give you oil changes for free. I dunno.. Sounds high to me.

Tim-

Actually, the $1800 is just for the scheduled maintenance. It doesn't even include the extended warranty. These are two different packages. It sounds like maybe I should offer them $1800 for both the 5/75k maintenance plan and a 5/75k extended warranty

wha???

No.... way... I paid 900-something as I remember. and people here have even paid less, or so they have said. Sorry, doesnt sound right. People think the sales people are slimy, but I think the finance guy is the worst. all those kickbacks.. they try to trick you into everything. I made them *show* me in writting *everything* on the warranty (and make sure its all really Nissan underwriting it). It's too easy for them to lie and pretend they never said it.
