New Type of Coilovers?????

What's up everyone, I was browsing ebaymotors just now and came across these Coilovers...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/XYZ-SPORT-CO...#ht_2950wt_922

Has anyone ever ran them on their car by any chance? Or even heard of them? They are about the same price as k- sports and I'm thinking of switching my ksports. But just wanted to know everyone's take on these.

Never heard of them and never heard of anybody liking or disliking the quality. A lot of forums have this exact same question. They appear to fairly new to the game and are based in taiwan. 1yr warranty on CO's which is on par with the other big name guys. Ask the seller for model specific info and pictures. If not then stay away. For $1k they should be able to provide us with this

No one is going to spend money developing a suspension setup on a 17yr old family sedan chassis. What is left are your KSport, D2, BC Racing, DPS, Megan and in this case, XYZ - all essentially come from the same pile. Generic base design and specs and merely adapted to fit with minor (really meaningless) changes.

See here: http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread.php?t=559012

I would keep those Ksports or consider spending money on at least Teins or into the pricier JIC or if you're more game, Ground Controls on shortened Koni Yellows.

That's not bad. I heard that teins ride like crap, but I've never got a chance to experience them. I'd rather rebuild my ksports if needed later on down the line or just get some sexy d2's. But if you can get these xyz for 400 below cost that. Might also be a possible route.
^^ cjaundura, how long have you been riding around on them? Are they bouncy and was the handling Inproved? Also how low are you running them, any pics?

Someone lied to you. I think the Teins probably offer the best ride but the only down side to them is they arent fully adjustable..

Wiz really likes his JICs. I really like my Progress (wished they were valved stiffer with stiffer springs - discontinued). 1FSTMAX really liked his Boss Chens (in which there have been little information about them). Sutter really likes the custom Koni Yellow/GC route. Tein would probably be next. Then there are the rest of the lot which I would place all of them below the above mentioned. I would consider a custom setup of revalved Koni Yellows to match GC springs to be the best available for our cars. Also, best != most slammable

We have no Bilstein, H&R, KW, TC Kline - all superior to any asian brand.

So tht would put these at what final price?? If its 400 less that would put these at about 600 wouldnt it???

wasnt really thinking about most slammable, but the most comfortable out of the box and can atleast tuck tires.

LOL i can , its just a matter of what price theyre going by... i mean i see these coilovers posted on ebay for 960.... so if its 400 off that would be 560....thats cheaper than illuminas and lowering springs....unheard of actually.....unless theyre going by shipping too...idk..but bc is 1000 even on ebay...so even so 600 for BRAND NEW coilovers?? ill WILL find a way to get funds for that deal...this guy needs to be more specific and why hasnt he started a thread about it??

Direct from their website,2 different types of setups they offer...

These coilovers are rated at a 4.7 inch drop when fully lowered....WTF

i suggest looking into these.... but if this dude is serious you can sign me up for a set we just need to know dates and prices....everyone is gonna whine and cry we should buy "brand name" stuff... ive seen these on ebay for a LONG time now, just havent had 900-1000 for coilovers as i have other priorities but if he gets a group deal going for his said goal im sure these people wont have a problem selling them

WHat you guys dont realize is that when a company produces something in China they have to give out the product info to the locals so they can produce it as well. This means it looks the same but it is not. Google search "failed off brand coilovers" or something the like and see how many have snapped in half, almost all. The dampers are whats expensive and thats where they cheap out. Its your car but you WILL be sorry

Strangely i typed that in google...it comes back with 100s of car forums with people complaining about all sorts of coilovers that fail...oh wait...they ALL do...personally if youre going to sit here and bash and trash a possible product you should keep your yap shut and let people research and review... if this guy is gonna get a GD going and hes been riding on them with no problems they cant be that bad...it all depends on road conditions driver habits and environment... these coilovers are pretty popular in euro cars.... so im pretty sure if a 30-70k valued car can run these they are good enough for our maximas....stfu unless you have experience with them

lol lil butthurt? There is a way to do things on the cheap and a way not to. You don't cheap out on unknown brands. You get known brands for cheap that have a good warranty with customers saying the return or exchange policy is good. A companies reputation is built on how they respond to problems with their products. Buy your XYZ CO's and let me know how long they last you lol. It is not a mystery they are located near D2

you too? EVERY PRODUCT FAILS, ESPECIALLY ON TRACK CARS. IVe seen thousand dollar rims break too. I guarantee you JIC replaced that very strut. Would XYZ do the same thing? I don't know but this is the difference

I think what it is is XYZ has the plans for D2's. They are probably D2's just not as good. However, usually they color match very similar and XYZ hasnt which is weird. I googled the factory or HQ and they are very very close. They could be very nice. Ill stay away though until the 4th gen probably generic CO is tested.

while we are on the subject of afforable coilovers, i was browsing through an import mag the other day and found a company called rokkor. www.rokkor.com i was thinking of emailing them to see if they were thinking of making a kit for 4th gens. they have a 3 year warranty on there coilovers and at the price they sell other kits for i could buy new coilovers every 3 years and still be better off then just replacing my stockies with illuminas. seem like a good idea?

naw never said it was. I didn't think they were worth it so I got struts/springs. Every 4th gen CO is essentially a generic design anyways I would just get the name brand for a good return/exchange policy

Can 5th Gen guys get in on the $560 shipped deal? If so, sign me up! I read a few reviews on these and the general consensus is people like them.
