Y-Pipe vs. B-Pipe
The 2 off them have nothing 2 do with each other,
The Y-Pipe {downpipe} is the Pipe that conects to the headers and then goes to the catallitic converter. The B-Pipe is the Pipe in between the Muffler and Catalytic conv.So muffler+B-Pipe=Cat back exaust system.

the y pipe gives you the most gains. The b pipe will give you a little gain and some more sound because it gets rid of a resonator. The y pipe is probably your best shot if you want speed. It gets rid of two pre cats wich allows the exaust to actually flow in your car. Before my y pipe my muffler just sat there, but not it rumbles a little and shakes around at idle. Also it makes a little noise even though its stock.
