Tuneable muffler, does it create back-pressure with the silencer on?

Im tired of my 4" potato launcher and am about to get rid of it, Im not too keen on getting a stock exhaust because I want looks. But then again, I want to be able to have SOME back pressure and quiet.

Anyway, does the silencer on tuneable muffflers actually muffle the sound alot? AND does it create ANY back pressure? it doesnt seem like it should, but it doesnt hurt to ask.

heh, well, can you be more specific on the sound muffling?

is it stock sounding with the silencer or just a little quieter than a rambler?

It is much louder that stock, especially if you step on the gas (WOT), but even while driving normally it is louder than stock. NOWHERE comparable to an unsilences bomb or such. Let me put it this way: It will still turn a lot of heads, but you will learn to live with it because it is not too loud (i.e. music overpowers it ).

does any one have an opinion on say, an apexi universal muff vs the stillen-
since muflers dont do much , is there really an advantage in getting a stillen thats made for the max?
