Installed Place racing cold air tonite

its a nice mod, cleans up engine bay, and looks great, was a little trouble cuz we didnt use a drill, just an air chisel. One thing is the big punch from 2k-4.5k on he tach, but i noticed a littl drag to the redline. Hopefully exhaust and y pipe which are on the way will clear that up a tad to help it breathe, reccomend mod, it has nice sound nice mid pull, and is almost quieter then stock intake when ur not on it, message me for any specific questions

i agree, there is no doubt it is better. when u take out all the black stuff from the stock intake manifold u realize all of the traveling ur air had to do, the CAI is just a basic straight pipe for ur air, im just hopin y pipe and exhaust will get rid of that high end drag that i rilly notice from like 4.5 to the redline, i only say this cuz im trying not to let the amazing sound jade the speed factor, i watch my tach and im flooring it and its just creepin towards the redline sometimes, i duno, best thing i have to do is get some timings of zero to 60 or sompin, dont wanna be those people that judge it by the butt dyno

I have mine on order from Greg. I am a little worried about installing it myself because of two things:
1) Moving the fuse box out of the way and
2) Drilling the hole
I am a very handy guy and I've done every install myself (except for springs) but the install instructions on MaximaDriver.com kinda make me nervous. Seems like theres a whole lot of stuff to move in order to drill the hole and run the piping through the fender wall. There's no way I'm paying someone to install this, I just need some reassurance that I'll be able to do it myself. I can't wait to get it.

Have some faith! You can do it, its real easy, just a little time consuming.

This is not a hrad install. It did take me about 4 hours to do, but I purposely took my time and was playing more than working. There is nothing difficult about this install. Your best bet is to buy a whole saw! I can't stress that enough because cutting the hole was the hardest part and if I didn't have a hole saw, it would have been trouble. GET THE HOLE SAW! It is one of those "one time" use tools. You can use mine if you live near NC ;-)

CAI

Install is easy if you have good instructions. Hole saw is important but use a power drill, not a tiny rechargeable.

If you have a friend to help, all the better. You will need to remove a bunch of stuff and when you put in the CAI, you will need to do some mior adjustments for a good fit.

You will definitely enjoy this MOD and the AWESOMe sound at WOT!

If you have any questions please email me, I just did this three weeks ago!

Good Luck,
DL
