200,000.

Just rolled over on 200K yesterday. My father bought the car in 96, and we've had it since then for a whopping 16 years; so it has a ton of sentimental value to us. Being my first car, I put it through a lot but it always soldiered on. It has its fair share of scratches on the body and tears on the seats, as one would expect with a 16 year old car, but the engine and tranny are holding up well so far -knock on wood-. Me and my father collaborated that there is no point in selling the car since we will get nothing from it, so we might as well run the car for as long as it will go. So just have to do an oil change, and hopefully there will be many more miles to come!

Haha yes indeed. Since installing the headers and y-pipe, the exhaust note is much deeper and there is sometimes a whistling from the muffler since there is so much more exhaust flow

I'm in the same boat as you man. Had the car new since winter of 97 and don't intend on parting ways with it.

Why, thank you! Oh yeah that benz...haha. My father doesn't have to do any maintenance on taht car, and it has given him less headaches than my car has to me. But it's probably because I rarely drive that car, I like driving mine. I really don't know how much I will get out of it, but I'll see what's what

Yep, there's really no point in selling it for a grand. Might as well use it till its limit. That's what you buy a car for - my philosophy

Rocking 230 on pretty much stock everything except for comfort stuff. I've got a 97 Still pushing strong but she is showing her age.

Congratulations on breaking two hundred. Take care of her and she'll take care of you!

Great to see other high mileage I30's running on this board!

Mine is currently at 194xxx. But I'm pretty sure it's been rolled back since the car's exhibiting problems VQ's have later on.

But it's all good! she's still very strong!

Ha, good excuse to say it has 200K. As long as it pulls strong I'd consider the car to be fine haha. It's cool to have a car with this amount of mileage. When I told my friends I hit the mark, they were all wide-eyed in astonishment. That, and the fact that we've had it since 96 lol.

Wow, 230K that's awesome! That's something you can showoff to friends. My car shows it's age too especially with the interior.

Congrats man on the 200k. I just parted ways with my 98 last month with 170k for $950 bucks. My wife ran it into the pavement, so didn't look like much, but ran like a champ. I'm 21k away in my '01, and she still purrs like a kitten, with an occasional hairball

I just joined the I30 club.

I purchased a 96 I30T and it looks like brand new inside.
it will have 200k shortly it is currently at 1998XX. Outside looks just like OP pictures, inside is clean brand new looking. Leather seats are perfect.

starts, drives, and looks new. Nicest used car I have ever owned.

Only issues so far are, can not use key on drivers door, acts like something is stuck in it. Have only 1 key fob for it, but key opens pass door.

Antenna is broken off but motor still works.
Stereo has no display, but still works fine.

Motor purrs, it is so quiet you can not hear it running from inside, shifts smoothly ( is auto), Gives a very smooth ride, I have to watch my self or else I end up over speed limit.

Any words of advice from you long time owners? Things to watch out for? things to check? Carfax came back with lengthy listing of regular service maintenance, so it has been well taken care of.
