RTH: Driver side axle installation help

I am trying to replace the driver side axle for my 95 max (auto-transmission) this afternoon. The old axle came out without any issue. However, I can get the new axle seat all the way in. I even remove the struts to make the room, but just could not get it in. What am I missing?

Advice appreciated!

Are u sure you got the right axle and not a manual one? If it is the right one trying rotating it a lil so the shaft splines line up better in the trans.
