What part of your cluster died? When you say "DIED" what does that mean...If the speedo "DIED", does tapping on the plastic cover bring it back to life?

You can do several things...just note the mileage of your current odometer when you take it out and the mileage on your "new" odometer when you put it in. You will use the "new" odometer reading as a reference point. So, for instance...you car has 150,000 miles, new odometer has 188,000 when you put it in. You drive 3000 miles bringing your current odometer reading to 191,000. You just add that 3000 miles to your 150,000 which means your car has 153,000 miles on it. OR, you can roll your odometer. IT IS HIGHLY ILLEGAL but it can be done without any special tools.
