01 i30 sub question

simple question, could i keep the stock bose speakers and disconnect the stock sub and replace JUST the sub with a separate amp/sub?

yes you can just disconnect it at the speaker and use the outputs from the amp to the stock sub to run a line level

You can even keep it connected, and add a Sub...
