Ignition Key sound/Headlight warning sound

Hey guys, I took the Maxima for a tune up when I got the car, I needed the ignition switch replaced as well. I bought the part and asked the mechanic to install it.

When I got the car back, I noticed the beeping/ringing noise when the key was in the ignition was not working, then realized it didn't work for the headlight warning. I asked the mechanic to check up on it, he told me he accidentally broke that piece when doing the ignition switch.

Regardless, what is that part called and does anyone have a Pic of it so I know what I am looking for at junk yards or know what to ask for when people part their 4th gen? My wife already killed the battery because she had no headlight warning.

Thanks.

The little beeper/chime thing is on the back side of the plastic panel that your knees would hit when you are sitting in the driver's seat. It is just to the right of the fuse panel.

Dennis, thanks a lot, now I know what I am looking for, do you know the part number? I am looking at all these wiring diagrams and I can't find the it on there.

Thanks a lot, at least I can use the picture as a reference when asking people that are parting the car for the part....

If your mechanic broke it, make him eat the cost to fix it. Not your fault so why should you eat the cost?

Well initially he tried to cover it up, then he admitted it and lowered his labor to cover the part. He also offered to call me when he has that part from a junk yard to replace it, but who has the time to wait for him.

So I need the part number if anyone has, or if someone has the part from their car that they are parting out that would be great.

WOW! Nissan parts zone changed their website since I looked at it yesterday.
It is much harder to use. I couldn't find the chime on nissan parts zone or nissan4u.com.

Something like this could be gotten at radio shack, it just wouldn't sound exactly the same.

Maxima_Joe is an org member that has lots of used parts. Send him a pm if you want the Nissan part.
