This videos are from a 145 shot run, and a Fuel Cutoff from the rear.

There are also pics of the intake runners:

With a 145 shot you don't need to! Do you have any internals?

I have a problem with the video... after watching more carefully, it appears that at 4 secons he is at 100 and at 5 seconds he is back at 60. this means that he had no traction and was just spinning the wheels. this means that looking at the gauges gives a false reading and he may really not be as fast as it looks. comments please?

more math:

the video is 7 seconds long.

approx one second is not moving.

at the end he is at around 50 mph.

conclusion: it only looks fast.

ya if you watch the vid, me and theblue have been discussing this. he starts off real hard hits the next gear still spinning VERY freely and then finally hooks up after liek 4 seconds and ends up at like 50mph. i can spin my tires to make it look like i'm fast too. i'm not saying his car isn't fast, just not as fast as it looks.

rOaD bEaSt,

No need to get upset. It's just that, as pointed out, the video really doesn't show much... You can't really say anything about it. I definitely would like to see more video's of your car though. The one on SXR7's site (drag racing) with the supra looks pretty cool--although I don't know what is racing with it.

Why do you think his not fast? Is it cuz you dont know how or something?

I dont get why your saying he cant do it though, its like me coming from alaska for 5 years before before they made mods for a maxima and saying you cant do 13's with a maxima. When someone is coming up to that mark and im telling them its not possible, but I may be saying it because i dont know how they are doing? Just let him try it and show you dont hate for trying. sheesh

Guys,

you do realize that the speedo is displaying kilometers per hour, not miles per hour, right?

I think someone has some kiss-and-make-up to do

So lets get some video of your car when its moving. like from a 3rd gear roll or something. The reason they asked for that is to compare it to sprintmax's video that he posted the other day of a 60 mph roll in 3rd gear on a 100 shot. That will give us a better indication of your speed than a video of just wheelspin.

Well if you don't want to, that's fine. People are just interested in seeing fast cars. Personally I'd much rather see a 60mph roll on than a video of just watching wheelspin. If I wanted to watch wheelspin I'd just go spin my own tires. I think it would be cool to see a maxima on 145 shot, but if you don't want to make a video oh well.

It was roadbeasts car, Maximas in other countries look like I30s do here. The USA and Canada are the only places that Maximas look like this.

It does look like he spins his tires a bit. 1st and 2nd wrap up way too fast for any kind of Maxima. If he truely had traction or no clutch slip, his car would easily be running 10s. According to the tach, number of shifts, and time elasped, he would be at 70mph in about 4 seconds. By judging from his 3rd gear acceleration where it appears he's actually got a steady pull and traction, it looks like he's running pretty hard.... assuming he's got traction. I know my 3rd gear doesn't pull that hard.

Dave
