Central NJ, Big Toolbox and a Lot of Tools for Sale

Hey I wasnt sure where to put this but this seems like it might be the right place. heres the story as to why Im selling this pretty new and nice box, along with a bunch of the tools in it:

(here is a picture of the box. it is completely filled with tools. to the brim almost. the left side cart comes off and can be seperated. drawers are ball bearing and posi-latch of course.)

My dads been a mechanic of many kinds for 50 years. Hes gotten sick these past couple years and is now on permanent disability. So he got all of his tools and his box from his job when he was finally accepted for permanent disability, and he gave them all to me. This is stuff that hes collected his entire life, but the beauty of it is that his employer(who will remain unnamed) recently replaced a bunch of his tools that were worn out. Recently, as in a little before he got sick.

So i am trying to sell locally, some of the tools he gave me which i already have, or have doubles, triples, or even quadruples of. Also stuff that just does not fit my field and i will probably never have a use for.

I AM ASKING $1400 FOR THE BOX AND EVERYTHING IN IT. IM LOOKING FOR MOSTLY PEOPLE IN THE AREA WHO ARE INTERESTED IN COMING AND PICKING IT UP. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN TYPING A LIST AND SHIPPING STUFF. I ALSO HAVE SEVERAL TOTES THAT CAN BE USED TO CARRY TOOLS AND THE BUYER CAN JUST KEEP THEM. NO LOWBALLERS!

* Must state a selling price. No "PM your offer, I"ll take the highest one" type crap. Ebay is Ebay and we are not that. We do not conduct auctions here. If you want the highest bidder, then go to Ebay. If you set a price and someone offers it, you are ETHICALLY binded to that deal. Your are not breaking any laws by holding out for more, but as a person you are morally wrong.

post a price or it's getting deleted. an actual DESCRIPTION of what's being sold instead of just a box with tools in it doesn't work.
thanks!
Dan

im asking for 1400 for the box plus the tools in it. i did not type up a detailed list because i am not trying to ship at all. am looking for people in the area to pick up.

it is mostly not matco or snapon tools, but a third of it is less than a year old gearwrench sets of every size drive, every size impact sockets, impact extensions, 3/4" drive ratchet and sockets, sunex 2" jumbo wrench set, about 4 of every size wrench of regular sizes, several monkey wrenches, lots of hammers and brand new stubby air ratchets of 1/4" and 3/8" drive, along with larger size 3/8" drive, all different size punches and chisels including very large and small, 2 multimeters with a multimeter accessories kit, lots of old cool stuff, diagnostic stethoscope, abrasive bits and discs, a set of punches with letters and numbers on them, lots of snap ring plyers, brake tools, a battery tester, two magnetic bowls, and lots more stuff.

and honestly it was more of an add for people to come check it out and buy individual stuff, but since im getting so many offers on the whole box.

the deal that fell through was for 1400. and im standing strong at that.

please update your first post with the prices and pics of the tools.

i know you're looking for local sales...but people still need to get an idea your asking price and WHAT you're selling before they will come out and look.

you have until 8pm EST tonight to make the updates.
thanks!

like i said before, most of this stuff is not snapon or matco, which would bring the big bucks. but in reality you know snapon and matco just take gearwrench, black and decker, and companies like that. they take THEYRE tools, put a nice logo on it, maybe add one cheap feature, and sell if for 3X the price. if these tools were all mato and snapon then yeah i could probably get sloser to 2 grand maybe even a little more. but its really just the name on the tool. not to mention you can take most of this stuff to your sears while wearing plain clothes and they will lifetie warrent them for you

this is kinda why i didnt wanna post my top asking price. because people see 1400 and they think its a lot. but im open to some haggling especially if you come take a look at everything. i mean theres ~50 dollars in rubbermade totes alone youre getting for free to carry all the tools to make the trip mad easier so you dont have to buy them yourself.

thought i would get more bites on this. make me some offers people! with this box and tools you can do almost anything to any car. and plus a lot of it is still lifetime warrantied for every day use. i got laid off from my job and as much as it pains me to sell my dads tools i gotta move this stuff asap.
