it is technically illegal to just bleed the refrigerant into the atmosphere. you need to get your system recovered the right way. then you can replace the condenser, vaccuum the system, and then fill with R134a to the specified level.

He cracked it, so I'm sure there's no refrigerent in it.
Step 1) Remove the radiator, remove the condenser.
Step 2) Reinstall new condenser and radiator.
Step 3) Take the car to a mechanic that has an a/c machine, have the system vacuumed and charged by weight from a vacuum state.

If that's not simple enough, that means you never worked on a car before. Search around and you will find how to remove the radiator.

Simple. Take off the two upper radiator mounts (10mm), unbolt two bolts holding condenser on (10mm) and disconnect two metal hoses (10mm and 12mm, i believe). Carefully push radiator towards motor and lift out condenser. install in reverse, recharge.

I don't remove the radiator when I do condenser jobs on a maxima. Saves time not having to open up the cooling system. I usually remove the air ram, cooling fan assembly, radiator brackets, move the radiator towards the engine and that gives enough room to pull out and re-install the a/c condenser.

Fairly simple job.

Recharge the system and you're good to go.

As Br0nz said, might as well get a new dryer while you're in there.
I would also recommend new seals.

I just did my condenser and did not need to take out the radiator or the fan. I was able to slip it out carefully by lifting up on the pass side first. Good luck.
