Squeaking Suspension

so all week last week i started hearing a small squeaking sound coming from outside the car. As the week went by the squeaking became more and more frequent. At first I thought it was something underneath the car or my pipes or something since my entire exhaust pipes rattle like a motherf already. Then I bounced the car a little and I heard the noise, I did some research about it and found it it was the rear control arm bushing. Anyone know how to do this or got a video on it or something and any advice from anyone who has had this problem, that damn noise is irritating and adds even more to the damn rattling i have going underneath the car. PS My struts are worn the F out so idk if that has anything to do with it.

lol ahhh..well yea that's possible. i have a irritating squeaking noise on my car, not a maxima, that i think is relating to the urethane bushings on my coilovers, top hats..didnt know if you were sharing the similiar fate

No such thing as a rear control arm bushing.

Trailing arm bushing? Possibly. But if your struts are worn out they can also cause squeaking. Also if your boots are shot they can be sucked into the bumpstop and cause a squeak when the piston rubs against the rubber.

Get under the car and have someone bounce it up and down to find the noise.

If you're local to NJ, PM me and we can discuss getting your suspension taken care of.

The only poly bushings I usually use are the ES ones, and they always come with their own packets of grease - which I assume is the right stuff for poly bushings

I think it's a silicone base but I'm not 100%.

Why do you ask?

you can re-grease with whatever you've got on hand.

because the bushings i believe on the coilovers i have on my integra are making similar 'squeaking' noise when i turn the wheel just the slightest. the guy i spoke w/ at skunk 2 about it said there is polyurethane bushing 'grease' at the parts store...i've been swamped and havent had time to check

I had a squeak from the front suspension. Did all 4 struts and the squeak went away--Monroe Quick Struts in front, KYB GR2 (compressed the springs) in the rear...
