Get a greyhound and tie his 100' leash to the front bumper!

Or, park it in the garage.

A custom-made Car Cover would do the trick and give you additional benefits as well.

"my neighbors cat was sitting on my hood and it took a ****. should i spray paint it?"

"i took a vacuum to clean up the mess the cat made. how do i get rid of this problem? if i kill it the neighbors will get mad. i was thinking of taking my paint ball gun and shooting its leg next time it uses my maxima as a toylet."

I have no garage, I don't want a car cover because I use the car very often, and I don't want to get a dog(s). I was thinking of leaving a bit of antifreeze on a bowl. I heard animals like the sweet taste.

I would have already killed the cats if I wanted to, that's why I am open to suggestions. I am sure you wouldn't like if someone or something would scratch your car.

Sorry Caroline, I beg to differ. Most cat owners let their animals run around neighborhoods with ZERO concern for anyone else's property. From experience, I know that a spooked kitty can claw the crap out of your hood if they're scrambling to get off in a hurry and if their claws are good and sharp. That said, here's some non-lethal ways to fix the problem:

1. Park car under motion-sensing flood light. The light turning on will sometimes frighten them off before they get on it.

2. Line the sides of your driveway (in the grass) with pet-repellant powder. It stinks a little at first, but the odor quickly goes away (to people anyway). They sell this stuff at hardware stores.

3. Most of the time, they're getting up on the hood for warmth. Lure them away from the car with some other nice warm place to hang out. A nice furry pad with a bowl of milk and some Cat Chow on the porch would be a nice start. Then you can shoot it and not mess up your car...

Just kidding Caroline...

Funny!

I think #1 is the best answer...

OKMAXIMA --- Im sure NOONE likes their car to get scratched, but if it does happen, You can get it fixed. Why kill a living creature because of it??

why not catch the cat strap it to the hood or to the sun roof and take it for a nice brisk ride - make sure you put booties on the paws for safe paint...
or you could take the cat for a walk at 60mph not that i would ummm well uhhhhh no ive never umm done that before well, exactly in those words .....

I caught my parents' cat on my car once, a long time ago. I smacked it good, and to this day it will not climb on my car. It climbs on other cars, and I've gone through 4 cars since then, but it stays off of my car. Catch 'em and smack 'em, that's what worked for me. Of course, the cat won't be in the same room as me now, but I can't say I mind.

Try a tazer gun, j/k

I would smack the cat real good, maybe with a broom or something. Also if it's dark outside point a flashlight into the cat's eyes and they will just stay frozen without moving.

You shouldn't have to kill a cat or any living creature, but then again you shouldn't have to pay $$$$ for new paint when you didn't have to.

That sucks and I hope it works out.

Even if you use the car every day, a car cover takes 2 minutes take off and less than that to put on. I don't see how this is a problem? For me, it's the next best thing to a garage.
