When I had my SVT Focus, I could shift it like the video's. The Getrag 6-speed in that car was awesome. I could keep my foot to the floor and power-shift it really fast. The Max's 5-speed? Not so much...
At the track, I ran a modded bugeye WRX and he couldn't pass me until he was deep into third gear because he couldn't shift it fast enough and keep the turbo spooled up in the power band. It's amazing how a slower car shifted fast can, for the most part, keep up with a faster car that's shifted slower.
