F/S MEVI with JWT ECU 7200 RPM CUT

I am considering parting with my MEVI/JWT ECU combo. The MEVI is rare to find, despite the 00VI many would consider the MEVI a more convenient alternative. I am selling the kit with everything you need to utilize the MEVI.

The MEVI, vacuum canister, summit RPM switch, solenoid, and JWT/ECU with the 7200 RPM cut off. My asking price is $700.00; The ECU cost $595 and the MEVI, well try finding one especially with all the parts needed to get you going.

hands down the Maxima sucks without some sort of VI, you will get dusted by any Civic with a VTEC unless you can compete with uptop range. It's not about 200 HP, it's about maintaining HP pass 5600 RPMs. When you shift at 7200 you stay with in 5000 RPMS rather than shifting at 5600 and dropping back near 3800.

I'm selling these parts because I am getting a 2013 WRX so I'm done with the Maxima phase.

That must be a 4th gen deal, I can't think of any Civic that could come close (I have 00vi, but even when I had a 4th gen gxe I couldn't imagine that). This ECU should do wonders though.

You try racing a H2B with a tuned ECU and short gears with no VI or no JWT, you will get SPANKED! You're not telling me your stock max is competing with a civic and a H23A DOHC VTEC. Without a tune it's already producing more HP and has hi-end pull with a lighter frame; come-on bro be realistic, I love my maxima but I got spanked by one of these things from a 2nd gear roll before my upgrades;after JWT, MEVI, and ypipe, well things were much different. The MEVI with JWT is that much of a night and day difference when you're really racing.

Not flaming here, but your MEvi price is what because a brand new JWT ecu is 595.

Mind you I'm asking for those that may want the MEvi And no ecu, and vice versa. (not interested in buying just inquiring for a friend)

Never said you were wrong, please reread and reply.

I'm saying the JWT ecu is 595 new plus shipping, that one I think you are asking for way to much

Also include more info on what the ECU was set up for, i.e. type of injectors, VI (given), transmission, etc.

This is why I am looking forward to crossing over to the WRX side, cause of people like XFactor. You talk about parts used but they work just fine. The MEVI isn't going to age and get old and worn out. Go try and find one brand new and holla at me. Until then keep with your slowmobile.

I wasn't bashing.
The fact of the matter is, they are used. Even if they work fine and won't get old, the value of product goes WAY down once used. Thats all i was trying to point out. I know, I work in sales. I wasn't bashing or hating, just being real, we don't want to see the cost of something new unless the part your selling is new. Just maybe label the parts according to mileage and condition, if applicable. Don't hate on me bro.

And as far as my car goes, I love it, and yes, it's not the fastest car out there, i never said it was, but I love that it's above average (in my book). Also, it's unique, i wouldn't get a wrx (unless it were the right price) because everyone has one. I love those cars to death, but i get respect just for doing something not many people do, even though there are a ton of people on here doing it. Locally, there are few. It's not all about speed, but my car can handle herself, and a few other cars on the road too.. lol

Honestly.... GLWS and good luck in the WRX game

So the price without a cover should be less than 400 is what i'm guessing.

IDK, seems a bit high to me.
The MEVi with all its parts could go for 400.00 but the ECU seems high. Ive purchased a few used JWT ecus for 300.00
But, GLWS, nice complete package.

i think i paid 400 for my ecu last year...so 800 for both would probaly be more reasonable

I wish I paid $400 for my ECU, however I didn't. I refuse to let it go for cheaper. I'm closing in on the conclusion of selling it to one of my really good friends, the entire car that is. Thanks for all who chimed in and even the ones who flamed; no hard feelings.

The powerband seems off to me, you have any codes? Judging on how your speedo climbs, my USIM/Stock ECU car seems the same if not faster. Aackshun's USIM red car definitely pulls a lot harder.

Ok first off...its an asking price....aka starting point for making a business deal... I would never pay that much for both unless new...especially without the cover...i own a mevi and i love it... Jwt used runs around 350-450 pending the tune and age.. A USED mevi SETUP on here goes for around 250-300... Juss sayin...if youre getting outta the game and want money to play with the wrx with sitting on these items isnt going to help... If you dont mind sitting on them feel free but if youre looking for a quick sale you should reconsider asking price...i know someone who may be interested in the mevi cover bracket though...kidgrave... Hes got a mevi and cover but no bracket..maybe hell buy the bracket lol

Hey bro, Maxima_style got me your link. i was wondering if you had the bracket to mount the MEVI cover on this? if you do, i'd be willing to purchase the bracket by itself. Please let me know. Thanks.

Also, if not interested in selling it, would you be interested in buying my MEVI cover? might help with your MEVI sale....just throwing it out there.

If you look closely you can tell my foot slipped a few times as I was trying to switch while holding the steering wheel, shift gears, and hold the phone/camerea all at once, not to mention I had all 4 windows open.

Hey Vicious I just took this video actually trying to launch unlike in the previous 2; again it's hard trying to hold things and shift at the same time so bare with me. You're not telling me your USIM and stock ECU is really keeping up. FYI, my tires are bald and barely grip.

I messed up on this one, it boggled down after shifting in second.

ricerfest 2k12 up in here.

Never lost to a Civic unless it had 2x the money invested in the car (JDM Type-R Swap + Full Bolt ons and Tune)

Never have and never will use a VI.

In all reality $700 seems like a reasonable price for the amount of power you are getting

Anything more than that and why the fck would one mess with a 3.0???

Because $600 can get you a 3.5 w/ a 90 day warranty and $150 for a good brand ebay timing kit and $50-100 for misc parts needed to complete a 3.5 swap.......

Or.... You can pay me $1100 and I'll ship you (to a commercial address) a ready to drop in 3.5 into a 3.0 car.

Those are the sole reasons behind my "ignorant" post earlier.

You keep saying that, but if its true you must have not raced any decent built Civics. They dont need tons of money to be really fast. Power to weight ratio is a huge factor there. Ive ran some that hung with me for a bit and I made about twice the power youve ever made.
700 for an ecu upgrade and VI isnt too bad of a deal, labor is like nothing and you still get a decent platform. Both can be applied to a FI setup, so not a real loss there if one wanted to move forward.
Spending over 1k, plus the labor just isnt ideal for some, you make it sound so easy yet you still havent completed your "simple" swap yet.

Stop arguing and start buying. Depends on your skill level. When you start out you don't have a Formula1 car but the more you learn the better you can mod your car. There's nothing wrong with buying this, you learn and move on later. I bought my 00-01 variable intake from someone on the forum and down the road when I learned what everything was I saw how much I "over paid" but at the time it was a bargain because it was all there. The seller should have posted dyno graphs to show the major the benefits of this setup compared to a U.S. non variable intake manifold. Now if only someone was selling a ITB'ed, cammed, long tubed, etc. motor plus rwd swap KIT.
