One month with Maxima, new alternator installed.

Just replaced my alternator this weekend, luckily it was the alternator, the fading clock, and meowwwwwwwww noise is gone. The hardest part was gaining access to the long alternator bolt, the one on top is a cinch and fully accessible. we ended up using a ratcheting wrench from Lowes (Kobalt tool) . We ended up just taking the Lower radiator hose off as it was new and didn't want to bend it up, I have only had this car for a month, but the belts looked great, I would say a few thousand miles on both of them. Also It looked like it may have new exhaust from the exh manifold back to the mufler, unless it is stainless steel or something. But anyways, my first clue to a dying alternator was the minute read out of my digital clock look dim without head lamps on, I dodn't think anything of it until my dashboard started clicking, and radio died, made it home on battery power I am guessing. The new alternator is quiet and all the electrics seem fine. Let me know if you have any ?'s on alt-a/c compressor mounting.

Sorry, didn't realize the formality of a simple post, or to offend you.

^^^seeing how he is new to the org he may not have came across the hundreds/thousands of write-ups on replacing various items on all gens, including the alternator.
