Yes and no.

Yes you need a harness. Anything above stock wattage (55/65watt?)-- these are SIGNIFICANTLY above stock at 90/100 watt-- needs a wiring harness.

They are most definitely not street legal. Why? Overwattage, which screws up the beam pattern, and they're blue.

here's the deal Nick...

1. "blue" lights suck. They actually *reduce* visibility. These things are just white bulbs with a blue coating to tint the light.

2. H.I.D. lights ROCK. These are the ones you see on Bimmers and Benzes (and I think newer Caddies).

3. Just get yerself some PIAA SuperWhites (size 9004). They offer much better visibility than stock, don't require an upgraded harness, and they don't look ricy like all those Hon-duhs riding around town 1/4" off the ground with "HID-look" headlights.
over.

Justin

HID

So, why dont i want the HIDs off ebay? Because i need the harness? Is it that hard to install a harness?

What do the SuperWhites look like? I HATE the stock, lights, seeing how EVERY person in the world has their lights that color, you know? Do the SUperWhites stand out?

Thanks!

Here's the deal with my lights...

I got mine from Autooptiks.com or something like that and I have Astra Ultrawhites... english, hella blue. They were as blue as a Bmer when I first got them and now they have settled a bit or something like that.. anyways, my wattage is 80/100 and I do not have a harness. I've had them for over 6 months with NO PROBLEMS. I did however use the di-electric silicon that you use on spark plugs, and like I said, no problems... My visibility is good, although some cars flash me.. Yeah, I've had the regular 65/85 watt bulbs and couldn't see S**T but with 80/100 I'm happy.
Go with whatever your heart desires. That's how they've worked for me.

My $0.02

I have Eurolite HID Bulbs. Headlights #9004,Side markers #1157,Clear corners #194,and Vision fog lights #H3. The headlights are 100W and I have no harness and have had them for about four months with no problem and I drive a 1997 GXE. Ebay has them for like $15.99 (it's an auction of cource so prices vary) a set for headlights and I really like them many, many compliments and they are the right tint of blue. They are sold by nobleman69 on ebay, email Adam.
