3rd gen rad fit other models?
3rd gen rad fit other models?
So like the title says, does the 3rd gen VG radiator fit other models?
I'm asking because I bought a new one for my vg that was installed for a week before I sent my car the the wreckers. I kept the rad but there isn't that many 3rd gens around here, so im having a hard time selling it.
Thanks.

It's been there for over a year, not a single person asked for it. And my price was ridiculous in the end.
I have it in the local classifieds, but only under 89-94 maximas. Wanted to see if I could put other models too to help sell. I know the Pathfinder had the VG, so It could possibly use the same rad. A lot more of those around here.
Or does someone know the oem part number? So I can do some research

according to my ready-rad book, it only fits 88 Maxima w/ production date from 7/88 ,89-94 Maxima, 90-96 300zx N/A. It may fit other makes/models, but that's the only one's i can confirm.

I was going to say the Z32 guys use Maxima radiators as they're the same height and width, but they're thicker than Z radiators.. so they use ours as an upgrade.
If you weren't in Canada, I'd pick it up for my VE. But sorry, shipping would cost more than replacing it locally!

only thing i can remember drivetrain-wise that changed on Z31 was on the turbo models they switched from water-cooled to oil-cooled
but according to Wikipedia Z31 were until 89 and Z32 started at 89 so it must have been a mid-year stop/start production, same as R32 and R33 Skyline
i just checked my ready rad book and yes it lists it for a 89 300zx N/A. i don't know how i missed that. I really don't see how it could work in a z31 being as the one in my z31 has the hoses coming off on the same side and the rad cap is not on the radiator. i think it's refering to the early z32's.
it won't work. compare the radiator hoses for a 89 vin code H and a earlier model, for ex. '86. they use the same hoses. no way that it can work. the inlet and outlet must be on the same side for it to work. the 89 it's refering to is most likely a Z32.
