4th Gens at the Nopi Nationals Commerce, GA (Pic Heavy)

Well I made a little trek down to the Nopi Nationals this past weekend (09-22-12 thru 09-23-12) for their first show in 4 years in hopes that it would be a good enough starting point to build from. I am not going to say it was the best shows ever but the quality of cars was about on par with shows of the past but just far fewer cars. However I don't think it was a bad reboot of the show IMO. I had fun at least

Anyhow I met a few A32 owners down there (3 of us are on the board as well) so of course we had to take pics hehe. These are my pics after a quick and dirty edit just to post the pics. Towards the end it will be a little pic heavy towards my own car (first time it had been out with pretty much everything as you see it so I was stoked lol). Hope you guys dig em.

Hopefully the others will chime in with their pics (it was great meeting you all btw). It is cool to put names to faces although I am horrible with names (sorry guys). I think being forgetful comes with old age lol.

I recognize the car in the middle but not the car on the right. They all look great.

Are you planning on getting a lip kit?

The one on the right is not on the forums I am pretty sure. I met two other guys who were on the board. One that owns the black one and the former owner of the black one (I am bad with remembering names ).

I am not planning on getting a lip kit on mine. If I end up doing anything else it will end up being custom and I will import and adapt a kit to fit the car because I am not really feeling the stuff that is available for the 4th gen.

The Stillen lip kit is alright but it seems like everyone has one but there aren't many options unless it is something gawdy. So nothing will likely happen for a long time in that regard.

At a minimum though I do want to get new R34 headlights, Red/Clear taillights, and OEM fog lights to clean everything up for a mostly stock look.

I saw y'all hanging out at the Nico tent.

I just happened to not get my car into the infield.

My G isn't quite show quality yet, anyway.

That's no big deal. I wouldn't consider mine show quality either nor half the cars in the show

Nopi used to be the king of car shows back in the day. Glad to see it making a comeback.

Love the look on all 3.

And love the trenz grille as well. I remember having one for awhile. lol

R34's will do serious justice with clear tails.

LOL I was thinking that when I bought the wheels actually Ahh well I like what I like. I did buy them used though Most of the time the car is sporting 18" Murano wheels though I can't afford to be sportin expensive wheels all the time like some of the ballers with money to throw away and have something happen to the wheels (I would be pissed for years). So the Ordens are like the car sporting a tuxedo (only break em out for special occasions lol).

Yeah it used to be real big. I miss the old days when it was at its peak but I don't see it getting that way ever again. I think the import scene has changed too much.

I went to my first Nopi back in '99 with my Stanza actually and never missed a year since. Looking back at the scene then it looks like a whole different era where rice was king with Shogun body kits and vinyl graphics lol I can't believe half the stuff that was popular back then was popular. Times change though and I like to think for the better for the most part.

No doubt, I look forward to it although I probably won't have my Max down there next year. As long as the show continues on I will continue to attend regardless of vehicle.

I feel you. I keep thinking the amount of money it will take to bring over what I want and then have to hack it up to make it fit the car and I wonder if it is worth it. I do think it would be neat to have something noone else has. At the end of the day it is whatever makes you feel comfortable doing. I seem to like to do things that are difficult or the hard way lol

If you want to do it, kick back money you can afford to and save up for it. Not everything has to be done overnight and you will probably appreciate it more in the end if you take your time, do it right, and work for it IMO.

For that you are almost better off buying an I30 and build off of that because it wouldn't likely be worth it to modify the Maxima because of the money involved. I don't think that kit would be easy to come by these days either I believe but I do think it would be cool to see on a Maxima.

I want to go for a VIP kit that is clean, simple, and modern but I don't think my heart is in it enough to warrant the money lol. That and I daily my Max so if I did all that work I probably wouldn't anymore therefore causing me to buy a new daily . I would be better off buying a platform car and save me some coin . It would definitely be easier to work off of than the Max.

I honestly didn't even think about posting a thread but it would be cool to see more Maximas at the show. I will definitely be there next year if there is a show (always a good excuse to leave town and if the show sucks there is always the city to have fun in )
