More 3.5 talk!!

Hey guys. I have a bad motor that im looking to rebuild. I got the motor from my older brother who has a '03 max and he went too far between oil changes by accident and heard some knocking one day. So he got a factory swap and let me get the old one so I could put it my '96 I30. I dont want to do anything crazy like huge pistons and injectors and stuff: I would just like to give the a32 a little kick in the pants. I'm from Nashville and my question is for the people who live near the Tennessee area and surrounding states. What are some good quality for good price engine shops I can take the motor to for the rebuild?

you'd be nuts to rebuild that motor. you will spend less money and have fewer headaches by just getting a junkyard vq35.

As low as 800 and you can have a perfect running engine from the junk yard.

That's the chance you take.Best case.... the junk yard is only a few miles away and they guarantee the motor. (as is my case)

Since you got the motor for free (I assume) you should just try to rebuild it yourself. Assuming you have the time and the space, what do you have to lose?

if it come out of a car that was in a collision, chances are it was running when it got hit. so i'd say get one out of a car that's wrecked. ask to see the car that it's coming out of. you have tons of salvage yards in your area so it shouldn't be hard to find a good engine there.
