1988 Honda Prelude parts car

throwing this up here hoping that it can go to someone other than one of those tow truck scrap car buyers

Year
:
1988
Make and Model :
Honda Prelude 2.0si
Exterior Color :
black
Interior Color :
blue
Auto or Manual? :
5spd
Odometer Reading :
2xx,xxx***********
Location of Vehicle :
Edmonton, AB
Asking Price :
$200
Description :
selling my moms DD. currently outside of the house on the street. GOOD AS A PARTS CAR ONLY. $200, can go next week. most likely Wednesday.

the bad

-no good body panels, popup headlights work though. body is rusty and black spraypaint was just used to cover it
-vehicle runs, suspect the power steering pump relief valve is bad. has blown 3 power steering hoses off, engine is covered in power steering fluid
-reverse rarely grinds, maybe 1 in 30 shifts. whenever ive driven it, i just shift into reverse fast and its never done it to me
-muffler has a hole in it
-odometer has around 250,000km on it, but if CarFax is correct some douchebag rolled it back about 10 years ago and its really at 600,000km
-last time i took it to work, coworker poked around and said the rack/pinion is leaking and the timing cover has a small leak. leaves a loonie sized oil spot after a few hours of being parked

the good

-2.0l PGM-FI engine
-im a mechanic and have always worked on it. new distributor 2 years ago, plugs and wires a few months ago, thermostat last winter, power steering idler pulley this summer, etc
-transmission shifts fine otherwise
-engine hauls *** still, has no problem smoothly going to redline
-interior is pretty good for its age
-did rear pads and rotors a few months ago, front brakes are also near new

can make it driveable by removing the power steering belt, but i dont recommend it. or bring some PS fluid and swap pumps. pretty much just good for drivetrain parts
