Go to discountdash.com

They have wood and aluminum molded dash kits for about $200. The BEST kits around. Ask anyone. AND From what I hear, the kits on custommaxima.com suck. I have the molded aluminum one and it is great.

Don't go saying things you know nothing about. I supply the kits to Custommaxima.com The kits do not suck. On 5th gens, we've had problems due to the limitations of aluminum. The kits fit perfectly, unfortunately the dash on a 5th gen is 3D, so we can't cover the raised part. Everything we do cover fits perfectly. If you've seen the kit, you'll know what I'm talking about. There are no gaps, and all the pieces line up perfectly. But there is nothing we can do about the side pieces. Yes, the molded kits look better on the 5th gen, but that's due to the dash design, not our kits. We've compared our kits to the other flat dash kits on the market and ours fits better. Before we ever sell a kit, we test fit it on several cars to ensure the fit. Other companies just get a template and crank out the kits without ever checking the fit. Compare our kits to the JT or Alkaplus kits and you tell me which one is better. Did you know that JT is trying to buy kits from us because their current supplier of kits has terrible quality control? Have you seen a JT real aluminum kit? We've bought them to compare, and nobody can say that the JT kit is better. We are trying to make a molded aluminum kit for the 5th gen, but really don't think it's feasible because it would have to sell for $400 and no maxima owner is going to pay it. So most likely we are going to focus on the new Z instead. As for the 4th gen, there is no comparison. Our kit was originally based on a JT kit, and in case anyone cares, we had to rework the kit 5 times to make it fit right even though we based it on a kit JT was already selling. Doesn't that say something about quality control? And the Alkaplus kit is even worse.

However, the kits from discountdash.com are very nice. The only reason they are that cheap though is due to the Canadian exchange rate. I wish I could match that price. I deal with several manufacturers who carry molded aluminum kits for Maximas, but don't bother pushing them here because I can't compete with discountdash.com's price. But they're not even close to the best kit around. They are very good however. Their kit for the maxima is very, very good, but compare their kit with some of the other manufacturers, and it's nothing special. It's just that I don't think any of you guys would pay $600 for a molded dash kit for a Maxima.

Sorry, it's just that not enough 3rd gen owners have expressed interest in a kit.

I am not trying to offend Shadow (or anyone else) in anyway. I am just staing what I have read in previous posts. Shadow- I have seen your kit for the 5the gen and it is very nice, very very nice. Is it real or synthetic? The discountdash ones are sythetic. Sory Shadow if you took my comments the wrong way.

Hi Shadow, I own a 2K1 SE 20th Auto and I'd be interested in a group deal for Aluminum dash kit or SS whatever's available. What would be the price and how fast can we get it.

Cheers

Guys, I'm not going to be group dealing the dash kits, too much trouble on my part and yours. But, I am running a sale on them to you guys only with group deal pricing, it's cheaper than any of the previous group deals has been. This is more convenient for you since you don't have to wait on the kits like in a group deal, as soon as you order, the kit ships. I just want to get rid of some overstock.

'95-99 aluminum dash kits - $150+shipping
'00-01 aluminum dash kits - $160+shipping

shipping will be $10. Remember, these are made from real brushed aluminum. This is the lowest price the kit has ever been, I normally sell these for $235+shipping. We take credit cards, paypal, money order, or checks. Email me at sales@ap-signworks.com for more info. Thanks.

Center console??

Hey Shadow,

I have a '97 Maxima GLE that came w/ wood trimming. And I was wondering does your dash kit include a part for the center compartment ( the drawer like thing that pops out.. below the stero and above the ashtray). On my car, unlike the SE and GXE the center compartment doesn't flap down (or was it up??) but u push it and it slides out.
