If the NATS immobilizer system has ben activated, the ECU does not send signals to the fuel injectors. Nissan does not provide very much information on this for a good reason.

But according to the service manual, a signal from the NATS immobilizer pin 6 (orange wire) goes to pin 17 of the ECU. What I don't know is if the ECU should have a ground or 12 volts on pin 17 in order to start the car. And since Nissan doesn't document NaATS very well, there may be more than just one signal.

not sure what you are trying to do here, are you trying to bypass NATS? that might be more trouble than it is worth.

well i havent ordered my part yet i cant till after the 19th when hr block start them loans then...imma have a locksmith whos done numerous reprograms with nissans here and have him reprogram it in my drive way so i dont have to tow it for 250 bucks lol but im just playing around with it see what i can come up with see if i can get it to run without the anti-thieft deal and see what happens..was thinking of running a hot wire to the injectors but then it would just let them stay wide open and not let them do there job right as i think it would

The NATS controls the fuel injectors and the ECU from doing anything that has to do with hot wiring, starting the car up and the thefts making a popular car a a popular getaway car because Nissan's security purposes and more importantly there trust with there products to there customers. This is the reason why they bought the NATS, so the customers would fell good about their Nissan. I would wait and it's not worth messing with this type of a mess it's just plain dumb.

it's a good investment in the long run, the thiefts worst nightmare. The earlier maxima's should have this so the theifts won't make the maxima's look like a getaway car.
