Go to the white paint market, and look for the sharper dressed black guy, he'll give you the latest tape off his label.

lol u guyz

anyway, the disassembly is relatively straight forward.
For me, pictures work better than labels for the wiring harness, but vacuum lines aren't as obvious.

Basic instructions would start with removing the timing belt, then remove the intake.
how-to's can be found in this thread (drain the coolant before beginning, it will save some really nasty messes during the procedures):
http://forums.maxima.org/3rd-generat...-tutorial.html

as for removing the head, pull the valve cover(s) with the #3 Philips screw driver, then remove the heads (10mm allen socket, and a good breaker bar, not a ratchet with a cheater bar). Find the torque pattern in the FSM that Pearl linked to above, under the engine mechanical section. If you don't break down in the proper order, you risk warping the head.

using a sharp scraper, gently (VERY gently, don't gouge) clean the head and the block from left-over gasket residue. clean with a rag soaked with a good solvent, to remove any residual gunk.
If you have some, spray head gaskets with copper spray, assembly should be more (or less) the reverse.

Its pretty straight forward if you have mechanical knowledge. Otherwise go to advance auto and get a chilton or haynes manual. Very helpful books.
