Gas sending unit all messed up? needle goes up and down

Now I have to say. I did by a used cluster off the guy imaking133 off here. He def sold me a piece of **** lol cause ever since I got it, my gas gauge sometimes. (not always) goes up and down randomly. Now I am not sure if it is the gauge or something in my gas system. Like a sensor or the fuel sending unit but its REALLY annoying. Now a couple times my tach and my speedometer randomly died when I was on the highway but they work 99% of the time that just happened only twice.

Anyone ever seen this issue? Could it really be the gauge? or just a coincidence?

Likely the connections on the back are cracked. The blue medium warps over time. Just get a new one

I think he was referring to the printed circuit board. Some are coated with a blue coloring, some are green and some aren't coated, they are left in their natural tan color.
