brake and battery lights stuck on??

last night i took a turn rather hard and accelerated very quick from it...nothing unusual, except for my brake and battery lights coming on and now they are both staying on....

does anyone know what the problem could be?

brake - check your brake fluid
battery - take it to autozone or any shop ASAP and have them check your altenator

thats easy enough...but why would it happen simultaniously with turning a hard accelerated corner???

not sure.. but i would check these things first before we assume its an electronic malfunction.. that way we are sure its not the normal reasons.. then we can investigate further..

let me know what happens so if it is a malfunction and not the regular reasons.. we can check the Factory Service Manual and see what we come up with

Would checking the ECU codes report anything or would it just be for check engine lights?

When I had my idle pully and alternator belt fall of the car (while driving) both the battery and break lights came on at the same time.

Maybe just to get your attention?

Either way, I would bet that the entire problem is electrical. Maybe your alternator dying quickly. I'd get it looked at ASAP.

well, after my car (finally) died today, i had a chance to look into the problem....it was much simpler than i had thought (should have checked it first!)...the belt tensioner pulley on the belt controlling the alternator broke (or pulled off, looked like), and thus the belt came off...

thanks for the suggestions anyhow..
