Best Head Gasket

Ok here's the deal i have a 96 max that i turbo'd and the engine blew a head gasket...now that i have another engine im goin to put a better head gasket on it and possibly piston rings...and a gasket kit...but I want to know what head gasket would i need to go with...a stock head gasket?? copper?? Im only running 8-10 psi...

new engine and better tune, forget cracking open that compromised engine for only 8-10lbs of boost. you should not be blowing anything on that little boost if your tune is worth a damn.

I doubt you actually blew the HG, its probably the fault of the headstuds if those are still stock.

Bad tune and or components lead to massive heat and engine damage. Some people don't even run widebands most of the time. In my personal opinion egts can be monitored as well to indicate problems because afrs don't always tell the tale. Install another engine, it will be cheaper.

I agree, get another used engine. http://www.motoiq.com/magazine_artic...st-3-days.aspx BTW they ran over 20 psi and made over 600whp on a stock motor.

that's cool...I already have another engine and before I stuff it in I wana put new piston rings at least...and maybe a stock hg...im running a greddy emanage
