OG here, picked up a small project.

So I bought this '97 Maxima 5-speed from salvage to rebuild. Not to worry, every part of this car has been touched and abused throughout it's entire life.

This is what it looked like about a week after I got it home. The windshield had just been replaced 15 minutes before the picture was taken:

So after a few minor repairs:

Front and rear wheel hubs and bearings both sides
Front L/R axles
L/R Control Arms and Ball joints
Rack and pinion replaced
Belts and tensioner replaced
Clutch and hose replaced
Front and rear brake rotors and pads.
Rear calipers replaced
Front bumper cover replaced
Head light bracket replaced
Impact absorber and foam replaced
Front grille replaced
Font bumper lights replaced
Headlights polished with compound and a drill.

Mods included:

BC Racing Coilovers to replace worn shocks/struts
2005 Murano 18x8 wheels and Bridgestone Blizzak tires because it snows here.
Windows re-tinted to 15% to get rid of the ugly purple tint.

And we end up with this:

There is plenty more to go on this car, but I'll have to wait until summer breaks again.

Comments? Suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestion. I have a set of Ichiba 20mm spacers sitting idle. This will be done in the Summer. I'm married and have been kicked out of the garage until Winter is over.

The engine and all seals were surprisingly in good condition. The interior is shot. No airbags, the center console is a bit crooked (shifter trim broken) rear package tray has almost disintegrated.

I have replaced the shifter trim and put on a cheapie Ebay steering wheel until I get a good one. I was tired of getting cut up by the broken steering wheel that it came with. I will remove the passenger side airbag for good later. I may make a new package tray since I can't seem to find one.

Thanks guys. There is still plenty to do. Both tail lights are busted out, but I have a new set. Just got my trunk lid. The spoiler is completely rusted at the mounting points. (crack in the trunk lid). Been working on transferring the lock to the new lid, but it's been too cold to work outside for long on the floor. (still haven't set my benches up)

On the other hand, I decided to reset the preload on my front coilovers and inspect the front end for noises that I've been hearing. Upon removing the wheel I noticed that my front sway bar end links are broken. Yeah. Just got a new set of end links to install soon.
