I need to replace my negative battery cable. I found one for a 2000 Maxima and am wondering if it would be the same one for my i30. I know there is a spot that it ground to the body and I am not sure if it would be the same...

 

Yes, it is the same, part # 24080-2Y100.

The Nissan price is $56.88. The Infiniti price is $62.57.

 

That's cause the Infiniti one is nicer. Ha jk. Thanks for the info. Odd I was in a hurry and on the road and realized I was past due on my oil change. Nissan wanted $52 to do it and Infiniti wanted $36

 

I ordered a cable for a Maxima, and it didn't fit! It was about 4 inches too short. (insert that's what she said joke here)

 

Turns out the one they sent me is for MT and they are shorter.

 

Interesting. The parts list I use shows the same cable for auto or manual trans.
Same thing for positive cable.

 

The Auto cable was 35 inches and the manual is 30 inches.
