Greetings to all my dear Nissan/Datsun lovers! Im looking to buy a manual 3.5 engine for my third gen. Maybe even a nice 3.0 engine as long as the mileage is right. Know anybody?

 

So, like a VQ35 or VQ30 or, a 3rd gen VE/VG series 3.0?

 

It would be for a VQ35 or VQ30. I currently have the VE 5speed from a 92 Maxima Se. 125k Miles. I just need more power.

 

you are aware that if you throw a VQ motor in your 3rd gen (doesn't matter if it's a VQ30, VQ30DE-K or VQ35, you'll also need a different transmission as well, yes? iirc the 5 spd off a 3g will NOT fit a VQ motor, at least not without a LOT of fab work.

 

check your local salvage yards. you may even want to buy the entire car so you'll have everything you need for the swap.

 

may i suggest you post in the FS/WTB section of the web site if you're looking to purchase a drivetrain for your 3rd gen.
