Rear Ride Height After OEM Replacement Shocks

Hey gents, has anyone ever replaced their rear shocks with OEMs (but kept the stock springs in)?

I'm thinking of replacing my shocks in the back as preventive maintenance after 10 years, but won't if the rear will look like 4x4 from the behind like a drag car. Any insights or testimonials?

The shocks don't determine the ride height in a máxima. the springs determine the ride height. Replacement Shocks will have no effect on ride height.

Okay, thanks DJ HackStyle. I think I may like to replace my rear shocks this spring then. Not even gonna attempt it on the driveway, it will likely need an acetylene torch to blast through the rusted, seized fasteners.
