Picked up 2010 Maxima SV, 33K Miles

Well Saturday I traded in my 2008 Silverado for a 2010 Maxima SV. I got it for 21k. I was originally looking at Acura TLs and didn't really like them. It was 6PM and the signifigant other made me go to the Nissan dealer since I've been saying I wanted a Maxima for the last 7 years. Well, finally got one and i LOVE IT. Super smooth, lots of features, great audio. No complaints. I have a few questions though, maybe dumb.

1) How do you roll the windows down with the Keyfob? I've never had a keyfob before, any cool tricks I can do with it?

2) Say I leave an interior light on and my battery dies, how do I get in the car? Will the keyfob work if the car battery is dead to open the door?

Thanks guys! I'm getting some tints done soon too.

if the car is dead there is a hard key inside of your fob to get you inside

there is a fuse that controls the steering lock...PULL THAT FUSE out. You'll thank me when you search for "steering lock" and find out how ridiculously simple the fix for tha PITA problem is.

Wow, what a hassle. Thanks for the heads up, I'll be sure to pull the fuse later. Is there anything else that I need to do or just remove it? Seems like just removing but just want to be sure. Do you do it with the engine running or off?

Congrats on your purchase. I just bought one over the weekend too.

I pulled the fuse the other day and I did it with the engine running. It made sense to me to do it while the steering was unlocked.

Thanks, I'll do research as to whether I should pull it while the engine is running or not.

2010's and onwards should have had the fuse pulled out by the dealer by this point (or before they even left the factory).

IIRC the fuse was only in place on 2009's and very early 2010's.

Doesn't hurt to check though.

ps. Congrats on the purchase!

Holding the unlock button to put down the window has worked since the 90's

If you hold the lock and unlock it will turn off/on the horn beeping when you lock the doors and just the lights will flash

I'm a Maxima.org virgin as well.
I just picked up a 2010 Maxima SV on Monday.
It has 16K miles I paid $21,995 for it.
I LOVE IT.
Most people find it corny but my girlfriend bought the same one as well except hers is silver.

I love the fun stuff this car does. I'm excited to get to learn more about it. The key fob features are fun! Thanks for the video!

Nice! Congrats, on both of them. Good price you paid there.

Not corny that you got the same car as your girl ... just means the pressure is on to keep both vehicles looking good.

Look for 2013 Maxima videos, basically the same car. Nissan has a video for every feature

meat with gravy

I have a question for you guys -

How do you search places in the GPS? For example, today I was going to Bass Pro Shop and I couldn't find a way to search places. I've never had a GPS where I couldn't search places, am I missing something or is this not a feature?
