Zaino products...can somebody clarify?
Zaino products...can somebody clarify?
I give Zaino's website an "F" for presentation. Lots of info but much of it seems overlapping and sometimes contradictory. I drive all day long for work, so I want a product that will first and foremost provide a durable, long lasting protective coat. Simplicity is also key so that it isn't a complete chore to apply. It seems like the Zaino CS would fit the bill as the final step in a clean/polish/sealant.
At first glance, I thought I would get the AIO (All In One), then simply apply the CS after as an added protectant. However, the website repeatedly mentions layering with Z2 or Z5 Pro polish, but recommends against layering with the AIO....that makes no sense to me. You don't want to layer the AIO because it contains a polish that would just remove the previously applied protectant contained in the AIO. So considering the Z2/Z5 Pro is a polish/protectant, wouldn't that mean you would remove the protective layer of the previous Z2/Z5 coat?
From the website: Can Z-AIO be layered?
I wouldn't. There would be little, if any, gain to layering Z-AIO as any later application would likely remove the benefit of the prior one. If you're trying to accomplish a greater depth of gloss and heightened protection with layering, it should be done with Z-2 PRO or Z-5 PRO.
I'd like this to be as simple as wash, clay(???), wash, Zaino AIO, wash, and Zaino CS. Then wash, Zaino CS every few months...but something tells me I'm missing something. Obviously I'm lost with all this. Where do these other products fit in?

Why not just get Z2 or Z5? They are easy to apply and last a long time and look great. I have 3 coats of Z5 on my car followed by 2 coats of Z2 and it looks amazing. There is just a deep wet look. Even though the car is black, in direct sunlight instead of reflecting all kinds of imperfections now it just absorbs the sun light and still has a wet deep look to it. Just get the Zaino Total Protection Show Car Kit, it's like $85 and comes with pretty much everything you will need. If you want check out my thread a few below this one, I buffed the whole car before but the last few pics are of the car with the Z5 applied to it.
I've seen so many people get confused about Zaino's products and you really just have to cut through the BS and figure out what you want and what you need and don't buy into the gimmicks that you need every single product Zaino makes to get a good shine. Like my previous post I would buy the Zaino Show Car Kit that retails for around $85, it comes with both polishes I mentioned above, a clay kit, applicators, Zaino's quick detailer, and their carwash. It's everything you need plus some.

Good layout from pimpin02max....I've used zaino products on every car I've owned since 2002. IMO, you can get too caught up in some sort of complicated order of using it, but it really isn't that difficult. I keep it simple and the cars keep their shiny look until the day I get rid of them.
