Nissan VQ 3.5 liter engine DETUNED ??>>>

I was looking at my 2002 Maxima brochure and it has a picture of the VQ 3.5 liter engine in it. I noticed that the Exhaust manifold on the car is SO RESTRICTIVE look how small it is !!!! Imagine what a well designed set of headers could add in terms of more HP and TQ !!! Guess they did that so that the new Z would have more HP or it could be because they have no room ??? Either way the tubeing looks like it has a big bottleneck in there !!!! Anyone else notice this ????

Good gas mileage >>

Not everyone is out to faster than that Honda Civic next to you at the red light. Some of us, just want a nice quiet car that gets decent gas mileage and still allows you to pass that SUV hanging in the left lane with some authority.

ya but the 2k2's are more restricted from the looks of it and more hp means more exhaust flow. like people said if you have a s/c maybe they will help more. well 255hp is like having a s/c
