I've been off immersing myself in the world of 9C1s for the past few months (since I got my own) so I haven't read too many posts here, and I'm not sure if this has been covered...
Does anybody know if the 96 Maxima SE has any stainless steel in its factory exhaust system? I know the 98 does and the 97 may, I'm just not sure about the 96. A friend looked under my Mom's car one evening and commented on the slight amount of surface corrosion...I suggested it was stainless steel. He vehemently disagreed citing the staining...so what's the deal? Is it or isn't it?

 

i always thout it was stainless.....but maybe not??? - i myself have a 95 gxe

 

I don't think the 1996-1996 Calsonic muffler is stainless steel, seeing that mine is rusting.
