Inside Taillights on a '97 <help!>

Anyone here have step-by-step instructions for removing the INNER (trunk lid) taillight assembly on a '97.

I just cleared the outer tails, and the texture and color is way off. I'd like to do the inside, but I'm not sure how it comes apart.

Oh yeah, and I did a search...no luck.

i have a 97 max 5 speed and i took out my taillights cuz i put altezzas, and if you took out your outer lights, its just the same way as the inner ones, all it is is a bunch of screws that you take out.

I took mine out to put fluorescent light bulb covers in there to match the outers. Undo the 4 bolts and PUSH PUSH PUSH PUSH PUSH (can you tell its gonna require a lot of pushing). They are stuck in there with the smey black goo the outers are.

ya forgot that part, tapped the screws with a mallet from the socket to loosen slightly, then just gave it a nice pull

how come your lights don't match???

Did you put in the flourescent light cover in the slot where the amber part was? because it matches very nicely usually.

It matched but the texture wax a little different and I wanted it perfect. I was bored that day too.

Yeah, mine matches OK.

But I want perfection!

And I have a set of spare inner lights to play with, so I may as well.
