Rear Heated O2 sensor

My Rear Heated O2 sensor check engine light came on today. Yesterday was a warm day hovering around 36 degrees F but today it was 10-15 degrees colder outside. I drove the car for one hour no light then after stopping for 15 min with the car off the light came on when I restarted the car. I reset the ECU and the light has not come on since. The car has been driven for about 15 miles and turned off twice in that time.

Anybody had this problem? Was a temp thing with being cold outside. The dealer says that it must be replaced. I am going to wait and see if it comes on again.

don't worry about it..

deezo had a simular problem.. every now and then little things off set the ECU.. replace only if it comes back.. its also a simple fix.. so if it does.. let us know..

oh and FYI: if it was bad.. it doesn't affect peformance of the maxima in any sort.. its just there to monitor the cat.. so technically you could run with a bad one as long as you wanted..

Which I've done for more than a year with no problems.
