Well today me and my friend in his '01 SVT lightning went to do some donuts (Well I tryed at least, damn FWD ) Well needless to say he almost killed himself by swerving violently in the road due to the rain+RWD+overwhealing lightning power. It was kinda funny.

Anyways later on we met this guy in a '96 Mustang 5spd V-6. He has flomasters, CAI, and widened headers. We were talking about cars and they were talking about how he beat a '95 Auto Stang GT, and they go "even ur car craig could beat his" and started laughing. Well I said I could take his V-6 '96 5spd stang and they were like uh no. Man they were dissin the maxi pretty bad. Mustang guy was also raggin on me for having an automatic, and says he could take me out easily.

Well this really ****es me off. Will the Maxima never get any respect ? I gotta ask you guys:

Can my '95 Auto SE with Cattman CAI take out his '96 5spd V6 stang with CAI flo's and widened headers ?

Do any of you find yourselfs in these situations ? Geez, the Maxima gets NO respect, especially the auto's.

You should smoke him. 96 rustang v-6=140 hp. Mods 20hp and he's heavy. The V-6's were dogs. My $$$$ would be on you.

A V6 Stang is nothing to be proud of. The fact that its modded is even worse.

 

I think u should kill a 96 V6 Mustang even if it's a 5 speed. Those V6s really suck compared to ours.

 

Yea guys. I try not to let it bother me but he thinks he's all that and the 3 guys I was with thought he could beat me. What are they, idiots ? One even rode with me and him back to back and still thought that. It's because the manual got his little mind fooled. Damn auto's shift so smoothly.

The V-6 stang guy was talkin 'ish so i let him drive my maxi and he was like, well yea yea ok it's pretty quick.


I wish someday I would meet someone who actually knows cars and will give mine respect...

Oh come on...Mustang V6's (esp the pre-1999 ones) are the biggest joke. 140-150 HP from a 3.8L V6? What a pile of junk. Ford Windstar MINIVANS can beat those hunks of crap, even when they have a 5spd tranny!!!

You should have challenged him right then and there to a race and walked his @ss!

The Maxima got crazy respect in 1994. But 8 years have gone by and nothing has really changed. Starting 2 1/2 years ago to make things worse the looks were highly controversial, basically a mistake. You know the saying, those who get respect give respect. It's a family sedan--which is different than a RWD 300 hp sports car. Where the Maxima gets a little respect is in the office--everyone knows it's a piece of cake to own one outright without having a nasty monthly payment. It's definitely an average to above-average car that's easily affordable, always gonna make the top 20 list on those consumer buying guides.

 

yeah, everyone is bein honest when they tell you that the auto/5 speed v6 mustang is slow

they are not exactly light cars and they dont put out that much hp

gt's, svt's, and cobra's are different story...they are all 14 second or lower cars

 

Come on craig - if you want respect you gotta TAKE IT man... the second that guy started ragging on your car (pre 99 v6 mustangs were a f'ing JOKE) you should have taken $100 out of your wallet and said let's go... right in front of everyone. 2 things will happen. He'll say okay... and you hand him his *** in front of everyone and embarass the ish out of him AND end up $100 richer... or he'll make some stupid cop out why he won't bet $100. Then you say "fine, no money - let's go" and you hand him his *** in front of everyone and that's it... instant respect.

V6 Mustang =

 

Their are those, however who know cars and tell me how my VQ engine is one of the best V6's ever made. They are the ones who know the V6 stangs are 'peices.

It's just these kids who think "mods" will make you go 10x faster. 60 HP from exhaust+intake+widened headers.

 

When I think of it, it was kind of weak for the kid to brag about having 200HP. I mean when you look at what Supras and RX7's get from mods, everything else is childs play.

Yeah, we only start out with 190HP but our quickness doesn't seem to be based on it. I like that personally and thats was makes the Max so unpredictable. Like I've also said in the past, you can have all the HP in the world and if your heavy, it won't even matter. You'll be slow. The key is making your car lighter.

 

Ok, let me get this straight. You were talking with some guys in a parking lot or somewhere and this one guy with a V6 Mustang starts talking ****??? And was his car fairly close by?? Has your Maxima and his car been in the same location at the same time as each other?? And if so, how come his @ss hasn't been handed to him already?? Race the pu$$y and put $100 on it like CKNY said.

Race the guy for some bills. Tell him to put his money where his mouth is and race him for $100 or $200. If you are sure your Maxima can take his Mustang then challenge him to a race and take his money and his pride then you will get some respect. Just a thought.
