New Rotors/Brake Pads

I'll be ordering new rotors and pads this weekend and wanted to know what kind of pads everyone uses?

The rotors I'm ordering are blank Centric rotors.

I bought Power Stop rotors tonight. Hopefully they are as good as some of the reviews. The pads are ceramic, not sure on their quality though. Anyone got info?

I've used Hawk HPS pads in the past & feel the sane way. I plan on going with these pads on this Maxima as well.

I'm still a ways out for pad replacement but plan to do a total fluid flush fairly soon. Thanks and good info 96Blkmax.

Thanks for the info guys. As far as the Hawk HPS pads, do you guys get a lot of dust from them? I tried doing some research and a lot have said they have had bad brake dust from those pads.

i was thinking of going full ceramic and a tech at the dealership advised against it?

No problem. Thanks for reminding me on the flush for myself. I will do it once I change out the pads.

They do dust more than the stock breaks, but I feel the added performance was worth it. I've driven in situations when the stock brakes had some noticeable fade. Same situations with the Hawks was a different story...didn't feel any of the brake fade as with the OEM pads.

I have Alien Rotors and Brake Pads..I already swapped the brake pads out..and the rotors are warped and suck. I do not recommend this brand at all. I do recommend PowerStop or EBCs

I bought the Powerstop Kit (front and rear slotted and drilled rotors and Z16 premium ceramic brake pads) and it is by far one of the best brakes I have bought, I LOVE IT!! stops on a dime and very little brake dust, I am amazed. I have had them on now for like 3 months and they still look brand new, great coating on the rotors!

Give it 6 Months..and take it to a qualified mechanic..You will see how the rotors will be completely shot. Unless, they did some extensive research and fixing up on them.
