after changing spark plugs, any problems?

I just switched back to the normal factory spec NGK spark plugs. I had the one step colder spark plugs in there before because of the SC. Anyway, after I installed them, I started up the car and the car acted really weird. The car was shaking for some reason. Also, it made my exhaust tone sounded really odd, kind of like putt...putt...putt. Maybe it need some time to readjust? I did took off the negative battery cable when I was in the process of swapping the spark plugs out. Should I just disconnect the cable again and leave it overnight so it have some time to reset? Thanks in advance.

Maybe he thinks it has something to do with his problem (not that I'm saying this should be done when changing plugs).

Yeppers!

Or the coil pack it not touching the plug good?

Or the plugs are not torqued properly and leaking?

I think I did everything right. Could overtighening them be a problem? I'll recheck them again now.

Sprint: thanks for the help.

Well, I found the problem. The connector on the rear driver side spark plug wasn't plugged in all the way. I heard a click so I thought it was in. The problem was one of the metal notches in the connector was bent. I took a flat head screwdriver and straighten the bent notch. After that, the connector went in fine. Problem fixed. So, I didn't do anything wrong, just didn't realize the notch was bent on one of the connectors. You guys have to give me some credit, I'm not that dumb.

Go unplug two coils and find some Hondas to race.

A) Those plugs aren't $12/each. Maybe $60 AFTER shipping....but that would require reading the 4th gen maintenance sticky in the 4th gen forum or looking at the sticky FAQ links at the top of this forum to see what dealers offer discounted parts.

B) Bosch Platinums do indeed have issues.....I've had many problems with them personally.

C) NGK will allow the VQ to perform as Nissan intended. Other plugs simply will not, despite what others may perceive.

D) If you can't afford maintenance parts, don't buy Maximas.....go get a nice Corolla or Civic.
