For those of you that dont know i got in accident beginning of july. This knocked out the old war horse our 1996 Infiniti I30, it had 330K on the clock and still going generally problem free. It was the true DD I always relied on, and a car few on here actually know about:
When it was still clean:
Accident photos.
I walked away from that accident, only minor injuries to my knees which went through the dashboard and my chest which the airbag hit. There was a fallen tree in the road and it was pitch black AND wet.....we all know the story with stock 4th gen headlights i could not see it until it was too late. And earlier that day i was thinking about moving the retro from big black over to slowhite. That would have prevented this from happening. But I hit it about 35-40mph.
R.I.P. to the old war horse, if it wasn't for this car i would never have owned big black:
Onto the new. What we picked up was a 04 BMW 545i black on black. It has 120k on the clock but it is immaculate aside from some interior scratches the car is CLEAN with pretty much everything as far as options ticked, the thing has stock rear heated seats. It was between this car and an 05 S430 but I thought this was a better buy. We only need the car for 3-4 years then another DD is being bought so mileage was not a huge concern for me but if this car does become a permanent solution so be it, Pictars:

And as far as the dynamics of the car. It is amazing to think this car stock can far and excedes the limits of most lightly modded maxs. Very controlled body motions exceptional grip. Im sure when big black is running if both are put on a track im sure big black would win but barely. Even with me running sill tire sizes.
It needs a nickname, i would give it big black but NO, NO, and another NO it needs another name.
